ALAN FRIEDMAN

Principal

Alan Friedman has been associated with the North American public markets for two decades and has a depth of experience in representing, advising and assisting Canadian and Global companies in acquiring assets; accessing capital, advising on mergers & acquisitions and navigating going public processes onto Canadian, US and UK stock exchanges with accompanying equity capital raisings.

Throughout the past twenty years, Friedman has managed or facilitated numerous successful going public transactions (initial public offering and reverse-takeovers) onto the Canadian Securities Exchange and main board or venture exchange of the Toronto Stock Exchange or (“TSX”). Over his Bay Street career, he has been involved with or facilitated financings in excess of $500m creating shareholder value of a combined $2 Billion. Friedman has seed-financed a number of companies, and has been responsible for facilitating various subsequent finance rounds post the going-public process.

Friedman was investor and one of founding directors of multibillion dollar cannabis company Cronos Group. He is also seed investor and co-founding director of the following CPC’s having conducted successful RTO’s: Searchtech Ventures/Cronos Group; AIM1 Ventures/James C. Wagner; AIM2 Ventures/Canopy Rivers; AIM 3, Vox Royalty. He is also a co-founder of Southern Sky Holdings, Africas biggest cannabis company.

He was or is a co-founder, director and/or senior executive of the following non-cannabis private and public companies: AfriOre sold for $450mm; Adira Energy Ltd., Auryx Gold Corp. sold for $200mm, Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas Ltd., Tembo Financial Inc., Enthusiast Gaming (North Americas largest listed esports gaming company) and Osino Resources. Alan obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and post grad in Law at UNISA and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He also worked for Investec Bank a global banking group  and is a board member of the Canada Africa Chamber of Business promoting trade relations between Africa and Canada.
